LIST: 5 players Eddie Jones called up but never capped

Here we look at five other players who were called up by Eddie Jones, but also failed to win a single cap.

The winger was first called up to the England senior squad ahead of the 2017 tour of Argentina and the October 2020 training squad, and scored on his first outing in an England shirt at Twickenham – but that was for an England XV against the Barbarians in 2017.

He was named as an apprentice in the England party for the Old Mutual Wealth series in 2017 and continued in that role during the 2018 NatWest 6 Nations. He featured for the England XV side that beat the Barbarians 51-43 at Twickenham in May 2019, scoring 26 of those points in a stand-out performance. However, he's been exiled from the England squad since despite stellar form with Quins.

The versatile forward received his first call up to the senior England squad by new coach Eddie Jones on 13 January 2016 for the 2016 Six Nations. After missing the 2016 Six Nations and the 2016 summer tour of Australia due to injury, he was named in the provisional England squad for the 2016/17 season. However, more injuries followed and he’s never received a recall.

Initially overlooked by the senior Scotland side, Graham received a shock England call up in December 2017, for the 34 man Six Nations training squad. He was subsequently named in the English squad for the 2018 Six Nations Championship.

After not winning a cap, the flanker had a change of heart in November 2018 and was called up to the Scotland squad. He was subsequently named in the squad for the 2019 Six Nations Championship and has since won two caps.

The most tragic of them all. On 30 September 2016, the Wasps flanker was called up to the senior England squad by coach Eddie Jones for the Autumn Internationals. However, while training with England he suffered multiple leg injuries in a judo session, which ruled him out of the Tests and led to his retirement in March 2019.
