Speaking to Men's Health prior to the 2019 Rugby World Cup, Maro Itoje revealed a simple home leg workout to keep yourself rugby ready.
Keeping your leg muscles strong is key for any position in rugby union.

Split Squat with dumbbells

5 sets of 5 reps each side, rest 120sec
Grab a pair of dumbbells and rest one foot on the sofa or chair. Bend your front leg until your back knee is just above the floor. Push through your heel to the start point.

Weighted Squat Jump

5 sets of 5 reps each side, rest 120sec
Step away from the sofa in some open space with feet at shoulder width. Sink into a squat and explode up. Land with soft knees and lower into the next rep. Jump to it.
