Here are the five players who disappointed us in round three of the Autumn Internationals. They will have better weekends, that’s for sure!
1. Bernard Foley (Australia)
The experiment of Foley at inside centre must be ended for good. We saw it in 2016 and we saw it again against Italy, Foley is not an inside centre. He struggled in the role, crabbing sideways at times and shuffling passes when under pressure too. His poor pass also led to Italy’s only try too. Foley was replaced in the 53rd minute.
2. Karl Tu'inukuafe
Got popped up at a couple of scrums. Didn't get a touch of the ball. Missed two of 10 tackle attempts.
3. Alex Lozowski (England)
The Saracens man needed a big performance and he failed to deliver. Far too easily beaten for the opening Japan try as Ryoto Nakamura stepped him on the line to score and was removed at halftime by Eddie Jones.
4. Zach Mercer (England)
bench against the Springboks, this was a harsher reality for the young back-row. Sacrificed to allow Dylan Hartley on while George was in the sin-bin, and replaced soon after half-time as Jones looked for some penetration with through Sam Underhill. Disappointing but he'll be back.

5. Owen Watkin (Wales)
Quiet afternoon. Did nothing wrong, but would have wanted to shine more especially late on when Wales were running riot. Won't be involved against South Africa.
