Bristol Bears back-rower Joe Batley is in remission having been diagnosed with a form of cancer back in March this year.
It was confirmed on Twitter yesterday that the 21-year-old is in remission after undergoing a course of chemotherapy to treat Hodgkin Lymphoma.
The big forward had a tumour affecting the lymphatic system.
Batley has since taken to Twitter, saying: “Massive thanks to everyone at this special club, huge support shown throughout from all the fans, coaches and players! I will be forever grateful.”
