PWR: 5 Things You Missed from Week 2 - Ellie Kildunne wins 50th Harlequins cap

We then headed to the Midlands, with Leicester Tigers suffering a heavy 74-0 defeat to Bristol Bears and Loughborough Lighting edging out Sale Sharks in 19-12 victory. Finally, the weekend concluded with a London Derby at the iconic StoneX Stadium, in which Saracens came home victorious and bagged their first win of the season.

World Cup winner, Tatyana Heard, bagged herself a hat trick of tries during Gloucester-Hartpury's 47-31 victory over Exeter Chiefs at Sandy Park on Saturday. The Gloucester-Hartpury and England centre got her first try of the day just minutes after her teammate Nel Metcalfe opened the scoring for Gloucester-Hartpury. The known dominance of the Circus continued with Heard and Metcalfe getting their second tries of the game and Emma Sing getting over that try line before the half time whistle blew. Heard then found herself over the try line for the third time getting her first hat trick of the season.

Rugby superstar, Ellie Kildunne ran out for the 50th time with Harlequins in their game against local London rivals, Saracens. Unfortunately for Harlequins the result didn't go their way losing the London Derby 47-10. However, the World Cup winner and former World Rugby player of the year did get herself on the scoresheet scoring the latter of Harlequins two tries.

Despite not being the opening weekend of the season, we saw many PWR debuts throughout this past weekend. Notably, Canadian internationals, Olivia Apps, Laetitia Royer, Julia Omokhuale made their PWR debuts starting for Saracens in their game against Harlequins at the StoneX stadium. All three players played a key part in Saracens London derby victory against Harlequins. Quins also saw the debut of Black Fern, Liana Mikaele-Tu'u off the bench.

Bristol Bears opened their PWR season with a bang, dominating Leicester Tigers at Mattioli Woods Welford Road storming to a 74-0 victory. Evie Gallagher opened the scoring for Bristol Bears just 6 minutes in to the game, starting what turned into continuous ruthless attack. Winger Millie David had a standout game scoring 4 tries altogether, with then fellow winger, Reneeqa Bonner bagging herself a hat-trick. Ella Lovibond also got herself on the scoreboard getting herself a brace.

After a dismal display by Saracens in the opening weekend at Kingsholm losing 40-14 to the current title holders and three-peat champions, Gloucester-Hartpury, Saracens looked to change and get themselves back on the front foot. What a comeback from Saracens! With a heavily changed squad they dominated against local rivals Harlequins, at the StoneX stadium, scoring three tries in the first ten minutes, with tries from Alysha Corrigan, Kelsey Clifford and Jemma-Jo Linkins.

Before the half time whistle, Saracens had already earned their bonus point, despite a being a player down due to Poppy Cleall receiving a yellow card, with a try from Laetitia Royer. Saracens ruthless attack continued with Alysha Corrigan getting a brace, and substitutes Louise McMillan and Amelia MacDougall also getting on the scoreboard. The game finished with 47-10 victory to Saracens.
