The Six Nations prize money each team won as Ireland's loss costs them BIG

Their loss to Scotland effectively cost the WRU £500,000 it seems, with a fourth-paced finish reportedly worth £2.2m this year.

Champions England secured £5m for the RFU, with Unions throughout the world all desperate for an injection of cash after being hit by the coronavirus pandemic.

However, England players are set to split a stunning £700,000 worth of bonuses from the Six Nations prize money. The title success is worth up to £30,000 per player depending on campaign game-time. The RFU had already set aside the funding for this eventuality.

For the next year, England players will see their international match fees drop by a quarter to approximately £18,000.
