Wallabies playmaker Matt Toomua has responded to reports that suggest he could be potentially moving to Gallagher Premiership club Bath.
When asked about the report in he was looking at all options.
The Rugby Paper, the Melbourne Rebels star told The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age
"Like all players, I am doing my best to analyse the ever-changing landscape that is professional sport," To'omua said.
"I owe a lot to rugby in Australia and my plan is to continue playing here, if the situation permits. My aspirations post-playing career are sports admin, and I’d love to do everything I can to help the game in Australia."
Bath Rugby transfers: 4 realistic replacements for Rhys Webb
Bath are set to lose two scrum-halves in the summer with Rhys Webb joining the Ospreys and Will Chudley set to be a free agent.
Webb was only ever join on a short-term deal having already agreed on a move to the Welsh Region, moving to the Rec after his deal at Toulon was terminated.
Meanwhile, Chudley has started eight Premiership games this season with another three appearances off the bench as he and Chris Cook have competed for the nine jersey for most of the 2019/20 campaign.
Here are four possible signings they could make:
1. Ben Spencer
The Saracens and England playmaker has been heavily linked with a move to the Rec, and certain reports suggest he's already signed a three-year contract. However, two months on we've still had no confirmation, meaning we've had a look at some other options available to Bath boss Stuart Hooper.
2. Greig Laidlaw
Laidlaw had made it clear that he wanted to stay with the European Challenge Cup champions when his current deal runs out in June. However, Clermont has already signed Sébastien Bézy, deeming the former Scotland captain surplus to requirements. Already attracting interest from elsewhere in France, Japan, Scotland and Newcastle, there's no doubt he'd be an excellent addition for the black, blue and whites.
3. Will Genia
He could reportedly be a free agent after all Japanese leagues were cancelled. The 32-year-old, who had joined second-tier Kintetsu Liners along with Quade Cooper, reportedly has no intentions of hanging up his boots just yet. If a deal can be done, signing the 110-cap Wallaby would be an absolute no brainer for the black, blue and whites.
4. Vasil Lobzhanidze
The 23-year-old Georgia international, who became the youngest player at to ever feature at a Rugby World Cup in 2015, is another top-level playmaker who is reportedly available this summer. On 1 February 2020, aged 23 years and 110 days, he broke George North’s record to become the youngest player ever to reach 50 Test caps. Would be a very good signing.
