A match at the Rugby World Cup between South Africa and Italy on Friday was marred by a red-card incident after two Italians tipped and dumped Duane Vermaelen on his head.

What was loosehead Andrea Lovotti thinking? He carries on the challenge on Vermeulen and he can have no complaints as he is sent off after the South African is lifted and dropped headfirst to the ground.

His team-mate Federico Zani can count himself lucky he's not off as well!

Jordie Barrett over Damian de Allende is far from being correct. The hype around Dupont is also overreaching, he's probably 4th in the world and has been since the 2023 WC. He also avoids certain matchups which is strange. The rest of the list is pretty good apart from minor subjective biases.
