When are the team announcements for Round 2 of the Guinness Six Nations?

Ireland head to BT Murrayfield desperate for a response after their round-one beatdown by England at the Aviva Stadium. 

With injury concerns over the likes of CJ Stander and Devin Toner, Joe Schmidt’s team announcement at 1:30PM on Thursday afternoon will be eagerly anticipated. 

Gregor Townsend and Scotland are on a high after their bonus-point win over Italy to kick off the Championship put them top of the standings. 

They beat Ireland in this corresponding fixture at BT Murrayfield back in 2017 and their team will be announced shortly before Ireland’s at 1PM on Thursday before Townsend faces the media an hour later. 

The second game on Saturday sees Italy welcome Wales to Rome. 

George North got Warren Gatland’s side out of jail in Paris in their first game and they will be training in Nice all week in preparation for the round two clash, and their team will come out at 11AM local time, 10AM GMT on Thursday morning. 

Conor O’Shea’s Azzurri side return home with confidence renewed after an impressive final quarter against Scotland that saw them run in three tries. 

And it will be interesting to see what side takes the field for the clash, Italy announcing at 2PM local time so 1PM GMT on Thursday afternoon. 

Sunday sees Le Crunch at Twickenham, where France have not won since 2006. 

Jacques Brunel’s side will make for intriguing reading after their impressive first half against Wales in round one and catastrophic second. 

Les Bleus team will come out at 9AM on Friday with Eddie Jones’ England side, likely to be without the injured Maro Itoje, an hour later at 10AM.
