Here, England legend Will Greenwood takes a look at four players who could play their way into the Eddie Jones summer plans.
And with a number of major stars away in South Africa with the Lions this summer, this could be a chance for some talented youngsters to make a name for themselves.

1. Alex Dombrandt

  • AGE: 23
  • CLUB: Harlequins
  • POSITION: Flanker/Number 8
GREENWOOD SAID: "All England fans in despair - look on the opportunity this represents now to have a look around and see who is playing well - I could put 20 lads up but this fella may be leading the way.. Alex Dombrandt for Quins seems unstoppable at the moment."
DID YOU KNOW? He played for Wales under 20s in the 2017 Six Nations, qualifying as a resident student at a Welsh university. However he has no birth, family or residency qualifications to play for Wales at Test level

2. Ben Loader

  • AGE: 22
  • CLUB: London Irish
  • POSITION: Winger
GREENWOOD SAID: "Another who ticks a lot of boxes: a nice strike-rate in terms of tries per game, strong with and without the ball and electrically quick.
DID YOU KNOW? His younger brother, Danny Loader, is a professional footballer for Porto

3. Tom Willis

  • AGE: 22
  • CLUB: Wasps
  • POSITION: Number 8
GREENWOOD SAID: "Loves a dust-up - not fights, but heavy body contacts. He just gets up and goes again. Just like his brother, Jack, he gets on the end of things, offloads, pops and offers try-scoring passes."
DID YOU KNOW? He and his brother Jack started their youth career at London Irish before joining Wasps

4. Tom de Glanville

  • AGE: 21
  • CLUB: Bath RFC
  • POSITION: Fullback
GREENWOOD SAID: "Serious wheels at 15. De Glanville is lean and quick - he has the same body shape as the legendary Bath full-back Iain Balshaw - and is someone who is benefitting from playing behind a pack on the front foot and, with it, plenty of ball. "
DID YOU KNOW? He is the son of Yolanda and Phil de Glanville, the former captain of the England national rugby union team

5. Alfie Barbeary

  • AGE: 21
  • CLUB: Wasps
  • POSITION: Hooker
Greenwood said: "Powerful and barrel-chested, he is supremely difficult to stop when carrying, and doesn’t just look to knock down or run over. He is happy to play around you as well. Barbeary will react to the defenders' body positions."
