Bristol Bears are trying to sign loanees Ben Earl and Max Malins permanently from Saracens, according to The Rugby Paper.
Director of Rugby Pat Lam has been so impressed by England international duo that he doesn’t want to see them leave at the end of the season.
Earl prefers the freedom of playing flanker but also plays Number 8, while Malins can play almost anywhere across the backline.
Saracens have seen a mass exodus of players leave since they were found guilty of breaching the salary cap in 2019.
Despite the pair signing new deals with Saracens until 2023 when they moved to Ashton Gate in August, Sarries may need to offload a few more players to be in line with the salary cap ahead of their Premiership return.
