Will Addison starred as Sharks overcame Bath 29-17 on Sunday
Sale director of rugby Steve Diamond believes the winger deserves international recognition
Sale director of rugby Steve Diamond believes that winger Will Addison should be in contention for an England call-up after his performance in the Sharks’ 29-17 triumph over Bath.
Addison scored a try and produced an all-round excellent performance as the Manchester outfit moved up to sixth in the Aviva Premiership.
With the former England Under-20s wing now injury-free following years of hamstring and ankle issues, the 23-year-old has impressed throughout the campaign.
Diamond said: “I thought that Addison was the best player on the pitch so he should hopefully be getting some England recognition if they’re watching the games.”
Eddie Jones has a lot of quality wing-men trying to prove their worth with Christian Wade, Jack Nowell, Anthony Watson, Jonny May, Semesa Rokoduguni, Alex Lewington and Addison all wanting to start for the men in white down under.
