Sam Underhill Secures Premiership Move To Further England Career

  • Sam Underhill will be available for England selection next season
  • The highly rated 20-year-old has been on Eddie Jones’ radar for some time
  • The report alleges that Bath will pay Ospreys a £150,000 transfer fee to secure Underhill’s services
Ospreys flanker Sam Underhill will be available for England selection next season having secured a move to the Aviva Premiership.
The highly-rated young openside flanker is contracted at the Liberty Stadium until 2018, with his three-year deal having another 17 months to run.

Underhill nevertheless is set to leave the Ospreys at the end of this season to join Aviva Premiership outfit Bath after the Black, Blue and whites agreed to pay a transfer fee of £150,000.

Underhill has only recently returned to competitive action having undergone surgery on a high grade AC joint injury last August.

The flanker could potentially make his debut during England’s two-Test summer tour of Argentina while a number of Jones’ top level stars set to tour with the Lions in New Zealand.

Long-term, he’ll  provide good competition to James Haskell, as well as the likes of Jack Clifford and Teimana Harrison for the number seven role.
