10. Finn Russell – Takes the headlines once again, in his adopted hometown of Paris. A try and an assist showed his leadership in attack. Costly intercepted pass gave Thomas Ramos a freebie try. 7.5/10

9. Ben White: Stayed on after taking a flying headbutt from Mohamed Haouas, and orchestrated Scotland’s second half fight back. 8/10

1. Pierre Schoeman: Worked hard to compete with France’s imposing forward pack. 6.5/10

2. George Turner: Similar to Schoeman, Turner did a lot of unseen work and battled resiliantly. Some costly handling errors could have led to a Scotland try. 6/10

3. Zander Fagerson – Kept his head down and working hard, in a match when emotions ran high. Almost scored from the back of a rolling maul, and impressed at scrum-time. 6.5/10

4. Richie Gray: Gave away two penalties, but was a resolute defender against the onslaught French attack. 6/10

5. Grant Gilchrist: N/A – A red card after just six minutes, saw Gilchrist sent off for the first time in his international career. Jelonch carried hard at Gilchrist, who led with the shoulder and made direct with the head.

6. Jamie Ritchie (c): Provided a cool head when tempers flared, and led the way with tactical prowess at the set-piece 7.5/10

7. Hamish Watson – N/A – Substituted off after 10 minutes, as Johnny Gray filled into the second row. Watson forced to vacate after the red card to Gilchrist caused for a re-shuffle to the Scotland pack.
