The four changes Warren Gatland will 'likely' make to his Lions XV

Despite winning the opening test 22-17, the head coach hinted that he will make changes for the clash with the Springboks next Saturday.

Below, we take a look at the four changes Wales Online have made to the starting team and deliver our verdict.

Wales Online: "The Scot may have had his moments as a counter-attacker in the opener but looked fallible at times in defence and was on the scene as the Lions went through a comic-cuts sketch near the end which almost gifted South Africa a try. There were also three Hogg turnovers"

Our verdict: As ever, he tried to be pragmatic with the ball in hand, but he spilt high bombs and served up an awful pass to Henshaw which led to a Springbok three points. Williams would be better suited to the Springbok juggernaut.

Wales Online: "Elliot Daly is likely to be given a weekend off after being bashed around during the series opener. From the moment Lukhanyo Am hit him with missile-like impact early on in Cape Town, SS Daly was sending out distress signals."

Our verdict: Daly was there at the end when his team needed him. We'd agree he needs the weekend off, but we'd bring in the brute force of Bundee Aki instead. Neither Aki are Harris would let Gatland down.

Wales Online: "Rory Sutherland found Trevor Nyakane a handful. Jones didn’t have the same experience in the game against South Africa A."

Our verdict: The Welshman was missed, in truth, as Sutherland struggled at the scrummage. However, Vunipola as a replacement impressed so much as a replacement that we'd start him instead.

Wales Online: "Luke Cowan-Dickie has had a fine tour but he didn’t play as he can in the first Test. One dodgy lineout throw seemed to hit his confidence and a couple more followed from the same playbook, with one a not-straight to a prop at the front of the line which would have earned a hooker playing for Abercwmflanker Thirds a ticking off from his coach."

Our verdict: The half-time oranges worked wonders for the hooker, improving - and scoring - in the second half. We'd stick with him for the second test.
