British & Irish Lions fans have had their say today on who should start against Springboks this summer following the squad announcement.
Exeter’s Sam Simmonds was included ahead of fellow England number eight Billy Vunipola, with two-time tourist Johnny Sexton also left out.
Wales great Alun Wyn Jones is confirmed as captain for what will be his fourth Lions tour.
England forward Courtney Lawes – out injured since February – and lock Jonny Hill are also in the team.
Here is how 20,000 supporters think Warren Gatland should line-up for the first test:
BACK-THREE:
Stuart Hogg (Scotland), Anthony Watson (England), Louis Rees-Zammit (Wales)
Did you know? Hogg gained 3,289 metres in his Six Nations career, more than any other player in the tournament since 2000
CENTRES:
Robbie Henshaw (Ireland), Owen Farrell (England)
Did you know? Farrell has scored 1050 points during his Test career, only four men have scored more in international rugby.
