Midi Olympique magazine have unveiled the highest earners in the Top 14 with All Black legend and Racing 92 star Dan Carter receiving the biggest pay packet.
According to , Carter has been asked by the Barbarians to turn out for them against England on May 28.
Rugbyrama, World Player of the Year for 2005, 2012 and 2015 Carter makes €1.5 million a year, more than double the amount of second-placed Matt Giteau of Toulon who earns €700 000 annually.
Toulon duo Duane Vermeulen and Leigh Halfpenny as well as Stade Français' Rabah Slimani bring in € 600 000 while Colin Slade (Pau), Johan Goosen (ex-Racing 92), Ma'a Nonu (Toulon), Bismarck Du Plessis (Montpellier), Sergio Parisse (Stade Français) and Census Johnston (Toulouse) earn approximately €500,000.
