South Africa international is reportedly Ruan Dreyer could be the man to fill the void that John Afoa will leave at Gloucester.
The 27-year-old played under Johan Ackermann at the Lions, helping them reach back-to-back Super Rugby finals.
Gloucester are in need of a top class tight-head prop after All Black Afoa’s move to Bristol for the 2018-19 season was confirmed and according to the Rugby Paper a deal has been reached for Dreyer to make the move to Kingsholm later this year.
Dreyer made his Springboks debut against France last June, winning four caps so far.
The Rugby Paper have also reported that Gloucester are now favourites in the race to sign Rohan Janse van Rensburg, another to have played under Ackermann at the Lions.
