Wales international Jamie Roberts could leave Bath to make a surprise switch to Super Rugby outfit, the Stormers, according to reports.
They are in the market for a centre after Damian de Allende departed Cape Town to link up with Japanese outfit Wild Knights. He will then move to Munster next season.
It was thought that the Stormers has a lack of funds and were concerned they wouldn’t be able to afford Roberts’ housing and transport costs.
But, according to Afrikaans newspaper Rapport , a third party has now stepped in to ensure funds are available to for the Stormers to make a serious attempt to land Roberts before the Super Rugby season starts at the end of this month.
