Ospreys’ defence coach Brad Davis is being lined up to join Eddie Jones’ England backroom staff for the 2019 Rugby World Cup, according to Wales Online.
Davis is a front-runner to join fellow Australian Jones at Twickenham, with Paul Gustard set to jump ship in favour of becoming head of rugby at Aviva Premiership club Harlequins.
Former Saracens flanker Gustard is expected to national team after the upcoming tour to South Africa, just 16 months before the World Cup kicks off.
Davis joined the Ospreys two years ago from Dai Young’s Wasps. The 50-year-old, who had previously been defence coach at Bath, is a former rugby league player.
