Harlequins speedster Chris Ashton was thought to to be “on his way” to Worcester Warriors, according to The Eggchasers Pod.
The podcast, which is a well respected weekly podcast that airs on Mondays, revealed the link.
However, The Rugby Paper is now reporting that Newcastle Falcons and Northampton Saints have joined the race to sign the 33-year-old speedster.
There is also reportedly a keen interest from Japan where a number of high-profile players, including Alex Goode and George Kruis, have made moves in recent time.
Ashton, who scored 20 tries in his 44 England caps, joined Quins in February 2020 after leaving Sale Sharks.
