REVEALED | What led to Finn Russell leaving Scotland training camp?

According to reports, Scotland fly-half Finn Russell was told he would not be selected for their Guinness Six Nations opener after he failed to show up for Monday’s training session.

The Racing 92 star missed the session following a late-night drinking session and was told when he did arrive in the evening that he would not be selected for duty against the Irish.

And Russell’s chances of featuring during tournament is now in serious doubt after he turned down an offer to stay in camp and help Gregor Townsend’s men prepare for next Saturday’s Aviva Stadium clash.

Scotland are hopeful their arguably best player will play a part later in this season’s Six Nations, and negotiations are ongoing between the two parties to find a resolution to the situation.
