2. Mathew Tait, 18 years and 85 days, Newcastle Falcons v London Irish (2 May 2004)

He may have ended up on the losing side in his Premiership Rugby debut but Mathew Tait certainly left his mark as he scored a stunning try for Newcastle Falcons against London Irish.

The playmakers first contact with the ball was well inside the Newcastle half, from where he cut through the opposition defence and crossed the line for one of the best tries of the season.

Tait moved to Sale in 2008 before joining Leicester Tigers three years later, where the former England international spent the rest of his career before retiring in 2019.
