Leicester Tigers centre Will Wand has been named Gallagher Player of the Month for March after securing 37.8% of the vote.
He finished ahead of Northampton Saints prospect Archie McParland (34.5%), as well as Bath Rugby’s Alfie Barbeary and Exeter Chiefs’ Tom Hooper.
Wand was also awarded Player of the Match in Leicester’s standout win over Gloucester Rugby in the Slater Cup at Villa Park. His try in the opening minute set the tone for a crucial away victory in Round 12.
That success followed another strong performance in Round 11, when Leicester beat Bristol Bears at home. The 24-year-old played a key role in what could prove to be an important result in the push for the play-offs.
Against Gloucester, Wand delivered a dynamic and influential display, making an instant impact with his early try and later setting up another score with a clever offload.
His work rate stood out in both attack and defence, helping Leicester sustain pressure and control the game.
Up against a formidable midfield duo in Seb Atkinson and Max Llewellyn, he consistently rose to the occasion.
