Worcester Warriors confirm new permanent Director of Rugby

Worcester Warriors have announced that Alan Solomons has signed a contract to become the club’s permanent Director of Rugby.

The 67-year-old has agreed a two-and-a-half year deal to take over as Director of Rugby from Gary Gold, who will leave the Club at the end of December.

Solomons joined Warriors to assist Gold in October and has helped Warriors experience an upturn in fortunes as they have racked up 38 tries in 11 matches and claimed back-to-back Aviva Premiership victories against Northampton Saints and Leicester Tigers last month, and a win over London Irish on Friday night.

“This has been illustrated by the commitment of the players and the fact we have seen a marked improvement in the team’s performances.
