4. Cardiff Arms Park
Next door to the Principality Stadium and with a capacity of just over 12,000 these days but still able to stand on its own as one of the iconic grounds in Welsh and world rugby.
5. Kingsholm, Gloucester
If you have never experienced the Shed, you have never experienced rugby. This terrace, with a low roof, that runs the length of the pitch is where Gloucester’s most passionate and vocal supporters congregate, and whether it is chanting “Glaaaws-ter” as the team take their proprietorial pre-match jog around the pitch or “You don’t know what you’re doing” at another refereeing decision with which they disagree, it is a place where the soul of rugby belongs.
6. Thomond Park, Limerick
7. Welford Road, Leicester
The biggest club ground in England for the best-supported side in the land. The capacity is now nearly 26,000 and an east Midlands derby against Northampton will normally see that full to the brim.
