5 Gallagher Premiership records held by non-English players

Charlie Hodgson, the former Saracens and Sale fly-half holds the record for most points scored in the league with 2,623 to his name while Richard Wigglesworth is the most capped player with 268 outings in the top flight of English rugby. There are numerous records and it is quite obvious that Englishmen are very often the recipients in the EPL.

However, there are 5 player records that are held by non-English players. Some of these records seem surprising since foreign players don’t generally spend a long time in England.

1. Oldest Ever Player – Brad Thorn 

Having achieved so much in his extensive career, both as an All Black and playing rugby league for Australia, as well as at Leinster, it seemed unlikely that Thorn could do much more. However, at the age of 39 he signed for Leicester Tigers in 2014 and by the end of the season became the oldest ever Premiership player. He was aged 40 years, 109 days when he made his final appearance for the Tigers.
