The Barbarians play in traditional black and white hoops, though players traditionally retain the socks from their “home” club strip.
However, Saracens fullback Alex Goode has opted to wear a different set of socks today at Twickenham, paying tribute to the club where played his youth rugby.
Cambridge RUFC, where Goode played from 11, sent him the socks and he thought it would be a fitting tribute to the club that made his career possible.
Lot’s of fans were disappointed the fullback wasn’t playing for England.
#EngvBar. Great to Alex Goode playing in this game, but he’s in the wrong shirt. #Saracens.

I hope Alex Goode tears Eddie’s England a new one on Sunday. Maybe he’ll realise how good he is
