The coach of the Barbarians, Eddie Jones, playfully remarked that Alun Wyn Jones wouldn’t be returning from retirement to assume the role of goal kicker after missing two shots at goal against the World XV.
The exhibition match held at Twickenham on Sunday was everything it promised to be, as both teams delivered an incredibly entertaining game that witnessed a total of 14 tries.
In the end, the Barbarians emerged as the victorious team with a scoreline of 48-42.
Alun Wyn Jones, the former captain of Wales, fully embraced the occasion and showcased his exceptional skills by executing some breathtaking offloads throughout the match.
He also made a few notable runs on the wing, displaying his versatility and contribution to the game.
His kicking skills though, were far from great.
