England and Saracens back-rower Billy Vunipola is reportedly set to be left out of Warren Gatland’s British & Irish Lions squad today.
Exeter’s Sam Simmonds is in line for selection ahead of him, with the Guardian reporting Vunipola has not made the cut.
The report adds Saracens teammate Elliot Daly is set to be a surprise inclusion despite his poor Six Nations form.
His versatility could tip selection in his favour, particularly after the cruel injury blow to George North, who ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
