Former Scotland boss Vern Cotter has stepped down as Fiji Head Coach, 7 months prior to World Cup.
The 61-year-old Kiwi, appointed in 2020, resigns for personal reasons. Cotter expresses disappointment at leaving and acknowledges the team’s progress under his leadership.
He is the 4th international coach to depart in the last 2 months, following the exits of Wayne Pivac, Eddie Jones and Dave Rennie.
“I’m disappointed to be leaving at this time,” said Cotter, who led Scotland to the World Cup quarter-finals in 2015.
“The team has made some significant improvements over the last few years both on and off the field.”
