British and Irish Lions scrum-half Greig Laidlaw took part in his first training session as Clermont player this morning.
And the Scotland skipper has left nothing to chance, taking an intensive French course since February to learn the language.
“I took it seriously. I had not really learned at school.
“I worked really hard as I want to be able to integrate myself as quickly as possible.”
Notre nouveau demi de mêlée est arrivé.

The scrum-half also revealed that he was a secret guest at the Michelin stadium last season during the derby against Brive.
