READ MORE:

15 Leigh Halfpenny Wonderful goalkicking and worked well in tandem with Sexton, chasing relentlessly all afternoon. Scored 20 points on the night. 7.5/10
14 Anthony Watson Didn’t do much to stand out but made a few nice little breaks. Not enough to lock down Test spot but decent shift. 6.5/10
13 Jonathan Davies Was one of the Lions most significant threats, continuously getting over the gain-line for the tourists. 7/10
12 Ben Te’o The powerhouse worked his way into the game. He was once again a dominant carrier, driving the Lions forward again and again. 8/10
11 George North Not the tour de force of four years ago, though still time for that. Got in a muddle for the Maori’s opening try and struggled to offer any significant threat going forward. 6.5/10
10 Johnny Sexton Finally back to his best. Composed and precise with his distribution. 8/10
9 Conor Murray Mr Perpetual motion, set perfect tempo and Lions danced to his tune. Very good again. 8/10
8 Taulupe Faletau Some excellent carrying and strong defence to make Test inclusion certain after strong opening contribution. 7/10
7 Sean O’Brien Put down another significant marker. Impressive work-rate and physicality. 8/10
6 Peter O’Mahony (c) The captain on the day brought a steely attitude throughout. 7/10
5 George Kruis A composed presence in the engine room and fiercely physical at the contact area. He was a thorn in the side of the Kiwis all afternoon while once again running the Lions lineout superbly. 8/10
4 Maro Itoje Simply outstanding. A huge offering from the 22-year-old, who scored a great try, means he could pip Alun Wyn Jones to the test shirt for next weekend. 8.5/10
3 Tadhg Furlong A tank in the close quarter exchanges, continuing a wonderful season. 8/10
2 Jamie George Surely the Test match hooker after another storming performance in all areas. 7.5/10
1 Mako Vunipola The Saracens prop offered a huge amount in both loose and tight. A key man if they’re to have any chance of winning the series 8/10
