“Camp Londres” – Argentina Announce 31-Man Squad for London Camp

Argentina have confirmed a 31-man training squad, that will meet up in London next month. The Pumas are set to descend on the capital city this coming March, with a three day camp set for the ninth to eleventh of next month.

The Saracens duo of Juan Martin Gonzalez Samso and Lucio Cinti won’t have too far to travel, in comparison to the Pumas that are coming together from across the top European leagues. Elsewhere in the Premiership, Newcastle Falcons’ Matias Moroni, Eduardo Bello and Pedro Rubiolo have all been named in the training squad, and will travel down from the North East to practice alongside their countrymen.

Los Pumas follow up the three day camp with a test match on July 20th. The opponent is as yet unconfirmed, but is reported to be a Tier 2 nation. Argentina then start their Rugby Championship campaign on August 10th, as they take on the All Blacks in New Zealand. Below is the confirmed 31-man squad in full:

Additional players from the Gallagher Premiership include Leicester Tigers captain Julien Montoya and a duo of Gloucester’s finest, in Matias Alemanno and Santiago Carreras. Argentina finished fourth at the 2023 Rugby World Cup, following their bronze medal final defeat to England.

Los Pumas finished second in Pool D alongside Steve Borthwick’s side, with wins over Japan, Samoa and Chile, and a quarter-final victory against Wales. Argentina were then eliminated by the All Blacks in a one-sided semi-final.
