England and Northampton Saints lock Courtney Lawes has revealed he’d consider a move overseas when his current contract expires in 2021.
The 31-year-old, who has spent his entire career at Franklin’s Gardens, revealed when speaking to the The Rugby Paper that ‘he is certainly willing’ to head abroad.
“I like being a one-club man at Saints,” said Lawes.
“But rugby is a business at the end of the day. I’ve got a family to look after post-rugby so I’ve got to make sure I get what I’m worth.
“I’m certainly willing to go abroad at some stage but I’ve got one year left on my contract anyway, so I’m not going to worry about that now.
“I just want to get back playing some rugby.”
