Dan Biggar and Liam Williams withdraw from Wales match against South Africa

Dan Biggar and Liam Williams will not be participating in Wales’ upcoming match against South Africa, which serves as the final warm-up game for the World Cup on Saturday.

In place of fly-half Biggar, who is dealing with a back spasm, Sam Costelow will take the field. Meanwhile, due to a tight hamstring, full-back Williams will be absent and Cai Evans will earn his inaugural cap.

Tom Rogers has been designated as a substitute.

Wales has emphasized that these changes are purely precautionary measures, reassuring that both Biggar and Williams remain strong contenders for the World Cup and their participation is not in doubt.

On Monday, August 21, head coach Warren Gatland is set to reveal the 33-man World Cup squad.
