Danny Cipriani’s brilliant response to radio presenters apology

Gloucester rugby club will use this Friday’s Premiership match against Sale Sharks to raise awareness of mental health issues in response to the abuse that Danny Cipriani suffered following Caroline Flack’s tragic death.

Cipriani and Flack, dated for around eight weeks in mid-2019 and remained friends.

Former TalkSport presenter Mike Parry initially stood by the vile comments he targeted at Danny Cipriani despite facing a barrage of criticism from members of the public.

But on Tuesday evening he publicly stated: “I want to apologise unreservedly to Danny Cipriani for my comments last Saturday following the tragic death of wonderful Caroline Flack. I had no idea you’d had a relationship with Caroline and misinterpreted your tweet. I offer my total sympathy to you in this difficult time.”

Cipriani has been widely praised for his dignified response.

“Like I said before. I don’t know you, but I know saying sorry is difficult. So I respect you for saying it,” he said.

“I’ve also jumped to conclusions. So I wasn’t mad. Thank you for your message.”

RUCK.co.uk would like to send our prayers to all of Flack’s family and friends at this very difficult time.
