Danny Cipriani’s wife Victoria reveals she spent Christmas in hospital

Victoria Cipriani, the wife of former England fly-half Danny Cipriani, announced on social media that she had spent the Christmas holiday in the hospital.

The 42-year-old mental health campaigner and her family had to spend the festive period in the hospital due to a tragedy that occurred within their family.

Victoria also used her post to express her gratitude for the nurses who had looked after her family member, but also raised concerns about the state of the National Health Service.

She stated that the hospitals were overcrowded, with A&E corridors filled with beds and patients, and that the healthcare staff were overworked, underpaid and tired.

She questioned how the system had gotten to this point and did not specify the identity of the family member who had been hospitalized.

During a post on her Stories, she said: ‘Hi. I have to come on to let you all know I’m still alive: thanks for your concern. I’ve come on to raise some kind of awareness re hospitals.

‘Unfortunately tragedy struck in our family over Christmas and we’ve been in hospital ever since as visitors. ‘

‘It’s really hard to complain about the level of care the nurses give in our hospitals because I have watched them running around doing everything and anything on all their shifts. They are indeed absolute angels.

‘I can’t thank every single nurse I’ve met enough for all the time care and patience.’
