Alex Lozowski has lodged an appeal against the two-week suspension imposed on him by an independent Disciplinary Committee after he was cited for foul play during Saracens’ Heineken Champions Cup, Round 1 match against Glasgow Warriors on Sunday 14th October.
Lozowski was cited for entering a ruck in a dangerous manner and making contact with Glasgow hooker Fraser Brown in contravention of Law 9.20.
The player is appealing against the initial finding that the alleged act of foul play warranted a red card, and against a subsequent review of the sanction which found that his period of suspension should be extended.
The appeal will be heard in London tomorrow (Friday 26th October) by an independent Appeal Committee consisting of Rod McKenzie (Scotland), Chair, Simon Thomas (Wales) and Philippe Cavalieros (France).

EPCR has lodged an appeal against the decision of an independent Disciplinary Committee to dismiss a citing complaint against Alex Lozowski, arising from his Saracens’ Heineken Champions Cup, Round 1 match against Glasgow Warriors on Sunday 14th October.
Lozowski was cited for an alleged dangerous tackle on Glasgow full-back Ruaridh Jackson in contravention of Law 9.13. At the subsequent Disciplinary Hearing, the Committee decided that the tackle did not warrant a red card and dismissed the complaint.
The appeal will be heard in London tomorrow (Friday 26th October) by an independent Appeal Committee consisting of Rod McKenzie (Scotland), Chair, Simon Thomas (Wales) and Philippe Cavalieros (France).
