Eddie Jones has revealed what injury forced Manu Tuilagi off early as World Cup finalists England fell to a chastening 24-17 defeat by a resurgent France.
The centre carried physically twice early in the first half and looked to be set for a strong game in Paris, although he left the field with an injury shortly after making that impact, being replaced by Jonathan Joseph.
“He tweaked his groin – we’re not sure how serious it is,” revealed the England head coach.
“We’ll just wait and see. Like all these things he’ll get the appropriate medical checks and we’ll work it out from there.
“Obviously he’s a big gain-line player for us and in those conditions we definitely did miss him, but you’ve got to be good enough to cope with that,” added Jones.
