“Thinking of you” – England captain Jamie George hit by family tragedy

England’s skipper, Jamie George, joined the team’s open training session at Twickenham on Friday, despite the recent passing of his mother, Jane.

Despite this personal tragedy, the 33-year-old is anticipated to be present for England’s upcoming Calcutta Cup clash against Scotland next weekend, as reported by the Times.

Following the conclusion of the training session, the seasoned hooker shared a poignant post on Instagram.

The post featured a photo of his mother embracing him, accompanied by the message, “Rest easy Mum. You were one of a kind.”

Sending his love, former Lions teammate Rory Best commented: “Sorry to hear that mate. Thinking of you guys.”

Tom Youngs said: “What a lovely and kind lady she was. Thoughts with you all. I am so sorry xx”

Johnny Sexton wrote: “Sorry to hear mate. Thinking of you.”

England remains undefeated in the Six Nations tournament thus far, albeit not performing at their peak.

However, they brace themselves for a formidable challenge at Murrayfield in the upcoming match against Scotland.
