A number of fans, pundits and journalists have called for buying drinks to stopped while rugby is being played at Twickenham.
An issue previously commented on by Sir Clive Woodward, one particular fan had his view obstructed for most of the game when attending the Six Nations clash against Italy.
Along with a video, he tweeted: “Worst Twickenham crowd I have known.
Worst @Twickenhamstad crowd I have known. No one seems to be able to stay in their seats for more than 5 minutes. This has been my view for at least 50% of the match 🤬 pic.twitter.com/3v16vHAYJ6

Here is how journalist Chris Foy and other fans reacted to the video:
😒 I won’t go to Twickenham anymore. I don’t care if you call me a rugby snob, but for far too many people it seems to be an expensive, indifferent beer drinking opportunity, with a bit of rugby to form a slight distraction. “HQ” is all just a money-making opportunity now.

Absolutely hate this!!!

Noticed that on tv…the amount of people leaving their seats during the game wtf! Obviously not interested in the rugby and if they’re that desperate for a pint they should’ve stayed in the pub and let a true supporter buy the ticket

It’s been like this for the last few visits I’ve been. Does my head in, just sit and watch the game FFS. Full of twats who just want to say they ‘went to the rugby’. u pay enough to be there, so just sit and watch the bloody game. More enjoyable watching it from home now IMO.

Those people are not rugby fans, they are fans of telling everyone they went to Twickenham. It’s annoying that sometimes is actual fans can’t get tickets as they’re taken up by corporate & touts who don’t care what event they are attending 😡

HQ has become a rather painful experience for most real fans. The experience outside of the ground has improved enormously @TheTiercel , however, inside the setup is poorly organised. I used to love being there, sadly nowadays viewing on TV is a superior option in my book 🤔

That’s why we’ve decided not to bother anymore – away games only! Have had great supporters in Dublin & Edinburgh who actually want to watch the game 😳

Alcohol free zones at HQ seem to be a good idea. We were at the SA match in the AIs, and it was a farce. Constant trips to the bar and toilets and back again, ment that we probably missed a third of the match as we couldn’t see anything. No more internationals for us.

It was bloody shocking wasn’t it? Why these people bother going to the match I do not know. If a constant supply of food/drink is so important watch it at home on your sofa next time & then you won’t disturb the match for the rest of us.
