#1. Danny Care, 2009

Danny Care gets himself sin binned and costs England three points for a pointless and “petulant” indiscretion of charging into the back of Ireland prop Marcus Horan.

Commentator Brian Moore slams Care’s act as just plain “stupid” and England coach Martin Johnson doesn’t look best pleased either.

The brain fart by Care ultimately cost England the game with Ireland winning by 1 point at Croke Park in February 2009.

One fan commented: “I love how the commentators gradually realise just how stupid and needless Care’s actions were.”

“Would have loved to be in the room when Martin Johnson spoke to Care after the game,” said a second.
