Ireland secured their first ever Grand Slam in Dublin by overcoming England 29-16 at the Aviva Stadium.

England took an early lead with two successful Owen Farrell penalties, but their advantage was short-lived as Ireland responded with a cleverly executed try by Dan Sheehan.

Unfortunately for England, their chances of causing an upset were dashed when Freddie Steward received a red card just before half-time.

Ireland went on to secure a historic Grand Slam victory in Dublin, thanks to tries from Robbie Henshaw, Rob Herring, and a second from Sheehan.

This marked Ireland’s fourth-ever Grand Slam and their first to be won on home soil.
