England player ratings vs Wales: Another worrying display

We take a look at the England player ratings vs Wales as Steve Borthwick’s team overcame Wales narrowly at Twickenham.

The opening match of the World Cup for England against Argentina might be without their captain Owen Farrell. This possibility arises after he was shown a red card during their warm-up victory against Wales at Twickenham.

Farrell made history as the inaugural English player to have a yellow card turned into a red card through the newly implemented ‘Bunker’ review system. This decision came after a high tackle on Taine Basham.

Wales capitalized on their numerical advantage, with Tomos Williams scoring following a penalty try, thus taking the lead while three England players were in the sin bin.

Although Maro Itoje’s try narrowed the point difference, it was George Ford’s successful penalty kick that secured the win for England.
