England prop Joe Marler unrecognisable as he’s transformed into ‘Trixie Turnover’

ITV debuted a whole new show in November as a host of well known faces underwent transformations.

Talking about the show, ITV said: “Our celebrity wannabes will not only have to perfect wearing the highest of the heels but also hone one of the distinctive disciplines that each drag artist will expertly enact, from singing, dancing, lip syncing, impression, comedy or Dragic! (Drag magic).

“Performing live in front of a panel of expert judges and a live studio audience only one celebrity can be crowned the ultimate winner. Viewers will witness every step of the process, from mastering the killer heels, fine tuning their comic timing and bringing to life a breathtaking character through costume and make up.

“The process will culminate for each of the celebrities in a cabaret style performance as they showcase their newly acquired drag talents. Voted by the studio audience, who will capture the hearts of the public to be crowned their Queen For The Night?”

Fans loved the glitz and glam of the show and all made the same demand. They simply couldn’t get enough of Joe Marler as ‘Trixie Turnover’.

One fan wrote: “Must say I’ve never been so attracted to Joe Marler before…”

“Joe Marler … lovin it! WOW!” said a second.

A third viewer commented: “Joe, you were robbed!!! Our entire house had you in top spot. Superb”

Speaking about his decision to sign up, the 32-year-old Harlequins prop told ITV: “I want to try something different, get out of my comfort zone and why not try drag. It’s great fun.”

He continued: “I think there’s lots of different qualities you need to be successful in drag. Strong calves are probably up there, but the main one is the ability to free yourself up, let yourself go and just go with the character as much as you can. You can’t panic too much about what people are going to think.”
