Their prior agreement, which was worth £23,000 per match, recently expired and the RFU expressed that they could not afford the same terms.

A senior player group, led by Owen Farrell, were involved in negotiations throughout.
The revised payment per match will now be around £17,250, which still makes Eddie Jones squad the best paid international side.
The RFU are braced to lose £107m in revenue over the next year and the community game has already faced widespread redundancies.
