The men in white led 12-0 at the break thanks to a terrific brace from Jonny May. The winger first dotted down from a Owen Farrell crossfield kick before breaking from his own 22 for a spectacular second.

Farrell followed up his first half conversion with two penalties to extend England’s lead to 18 points heading into the final quarter of the game.

Ireland gave everything towards the end of the game and got a consolation try through Jacob Stockdale late on.

Back to his best. The speedster ended his try drought with a fantastic score, outjumping Hugo Keenan to collect Owen Farrell’s cross-field kick to dot down. He then broken from his own 22 soon after to score a contender for try of the season.
