Exeter Chiefs are now FAVOURITES to sign 70-cap Australian international

Exeter Chiefs have been linked with a move for Australian lock to replace the departing Geoff Parling.

Newspaper The Australian has reported that Rob Simmons, following the decision not to renew his Queensland Reds contract, is looking for a move to the Aviva Premiership.

The Chiefs are on the lookout for a new lock after Geoff Parling left to join the Melbourne Rebels.

Exeter chief Rob Baxter has a history of moving for Australians forwards, having brought in Dean Mumm, Dave Dennis, Julian Salvi, Greg Holmes and Ben White down the years.

The 28-year-old currently has 70 caps for his country, scoring two tries in the process.
