Austin Healey believes Warren Gatland should take Marcus Smith instead of Owen Farrell as a wildcard, with Dan Biggar and Finn Russell as the other fly-halves.
Writing in his column for the Telegraph, he revealed the five ‘outsiders’ he would name in his squad.
1. Marcus Smith
Healey wrote: “Why not take Smith as a wildcard, with Biggar and Russell being your other fly-halves. Smith’s goal-kicking has been excellent, and defensively he doesn’t shirk any contact. And he would keep the Lions tradition of taking an uncapped player going.”
